Court Grants DOJ Request in Trump Case
A federal appeals court granted a Justice Department request to resume reviewing classified documents sized from former President Donald J. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residents. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit said that Trump “has not even attempted to show that he has a need to know the information contained in the classified documents, nor has he established that the current administration has waived that requirement for these documents.”

Iran Blocks Internet Access Amid Mass Protests
Iran has implemented a near-total internet blackout after days of mass protests following the death of a Kurdish woman at the hands of Iranian morality police. Mahasa Amini, 22, was detained, and then beaten to death for allegedly wearing her headscarf, which is mandatory in the Islamic country, too loosely. According to Amnesty Internation, eight protestors have been killed and hundreds more wounded across the country.

Alex Jones Testifies in Defamation Trial
During a heated exchange with a lawyer representing Sandy Hook families suing him for defamation, Alex Jones began ranting about “liberals” before being silenced and admonished by judge Barbara Bellis.
“This is clearly not your show and you have to respect the process,” Bellis told Jones. “Whether you like it or not, you have to respect the rules.”
Bellis also reminded lawyers on both sides that they need to behave in an orderly manner and warned anyone violating court rules moving forward would be subject to a contempt hearing.
