Within the past year, New Orleans has hosted 18 million visitors. Yet, as previously reported, only 1.5% of the hotel tax returns to the city of New Orleans.
The areas that are primary holders for the hospitality industry look magical compared to those where the actual hospitality workers live.
The $350 per-table charge is part of City Ordinance #27625, which was passed in late October 2017.
