Colin Lake presents video for ‘Extraordinary Times,’ Featuring Friends, Fans and Families for Pure Positivity

Local beloved musician, Colin Lake, has started work on his third album, “Forces of Nature.” Like his previous two albums, Lake takes inspiration from his life to compose soulful tracks that many fans will certainly find comfort in during these times.

Lake just released the music video for his brand new single, “Extraordinary Times,” which you can check out below. The video is a feel-good project as Lake asked his fans, friends and family to contribute homemade videos of them dancing and having a good time during shelter in place orders amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

When asked about his new music video, Lake said, “for the ‘Extraordinary Times’ video, I had this idea to invite friends and fans to send in clips of themselves dancing or singing along to the song,” said Colin Lake. “Then when the coronavirus hit and the lockdowns began, it seemed like the right time for it – filming the clips could be a fun diversion for folks at home, especially with kids. And then ultimately I hope the finished video, along with the optimistic message of the song, will serve as a postcard of pure positivity and a bright spot for people in the difficult months to come.”

Check out the music video for “Extraordinary Times” below and keep an eye out for his album “Forces of Nature” to drop later this year from Splice Records.
