Progressive’s Lifestyle: Pups & Poses for Zeus’ Rescue

If you’re an animal lover, this is an event you don’t want to miss. Footprints To Fitness is giving back to the community by partnering with Zeus’ Rescue and the Renaissance Arts Hotel for an evening of Yoga + Pilates + Puppies.

Footprints To Fitness is a wellness company that combines New Orleans culture with activities designed to make wellness services accessible to everyone. The company was founded by WWLTV’s April Dupre, who says:

“Like any other New Orleanian, I love to eat and drink, however, I’ve found a balance between treating myself and staying healthy! Don’t get me wrong, I struggle; that’s a part of life, but I try not to let it define who I am.”

At Pups & Poses, April will showcase her signature HipHop Yogalates, a high-energy yoga and pilates combination designed to keep you pumped up and moving. Throughout the class, you’ll be surrounded by adorable pups.

To make things even more fun, there’s also a costume contest – dress up as your favorite pup! The winner will win some awesome swag.

Every pup that you’ll encounter at the event will be available for adoption, and Footprints To Fitness will be accepting donations for Zeus’ Rescue throughout.

This event will take place every Monday in March beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Warehouse District Hotel located at 700 Tchoupitoulas Street.

You can learn more on the event’s Facebook page, or by visiting the Footprints To Fitness website.

Help Keep Big Easy Magazine Alive

Hey y'all,

I just wanted to provide an update to where we stand today. A few days ago, we launched a fundraising effort to keep Big a Easy Magazine alive. We determined we would need to raise $10,000, which represents 1/10 of the personal investment I made into the publication. As it stands now, we have raised just over $300 and have set a fundraising deadline of midnight June 1st. Please help us meet our goal. I promise you with your support if we reach our goal, you will be able to continue seeing progressive content about the issues that matter. If we don’t meet our goal, well, in all honesty, those who have an interest in our demise will have won the battle. When we launched the fundraising effort, we got bombarded with remarks such as “see ya,” and “lol.” We cannot allow them to win. Please donate today to keep us alive and support progressive media.

Thank you,
Scott Ploof
